I got a call from my momma at 7:00, Sept. 8. 2008. She said that poppa felt dizzy and nauseous and she wanted me to accompany her to the hospital. Without taking a bath, I rushed home to bring poppa to the hospital. He was okay when I arrived. It’s just that he felt so dizzy that he just had to close his eyes. I was scared. We were scared. Dad, no. He was relaxed. Haha. Poppa is hypertensive and has suffered a mild stroke 2 years ago. Actually, the first one happened 10 years ago. That was when his speech became slurred. He has been A-okay since then. In 2006, it happened again. Thank God, it wasn’t as bad as what had happened the first time.

When we rushed to the ER last Monday, all lab tests and exams were normal. Thank God. His blood pressure was very normal, ecg is okay, etc. He was ordered to just rest at home and take the medication prescribed. But no! We wanted to be sure. We wanted him to stay in the hospital just to be on the safe side. It is better that he be admitted, at least there are doctors and nurses on call 24/7 to look after him. He was discharged just before lunch today. Thank you, Lord. Everything is okay. His doctor referred him to a an eye specialist to have his right eye checked. Poppa has been complaining about it for some months now. Now he thinks the left eye is starting to get affected too. That could be one reason why he was dizzy and nauseous.

Just as I was doing my blog-hop today, I learned that Jan’s dad has been confined due to a mild stroke. All is well now. He is now out of the ICU and is showing signs of improvement. He is on his way to recovery. Miracles do happen, really.

Because of what has happened, Jan’s Coffee Break theme today is :

It has touched me in so many ways. The power of prayer should not be underestimated. The story I mentioned above is just one of the many instances where the power of prayer has been very effective to me. The power of prayer has overcome enemies, conquered death, and brought healing to those who needed it.
